How do we take care of our red fruits?
How do we take care of our red fruits against biotic stress produced by nematodes and fungi? Arvensis shares its extensive experience
In the cultivation of strawberries and raspberries, the growth of seedlings is affected by a number of species of nematodes. The latter belong to a category of microscopic cylindrical worms without segment and are found in water, soil, decaying organic matter, plants and animals. Plant parasitic nematodes spend the majority of their existence in host plants and tend to prefer sandy or sandy clay soil.
Nematodes that attack the rootlets cause general degradation of root growth and weaken plants. The wounds caused by these pests also allow the infiltration of root rot fungi. The presence of large numbers of nematodes, especially root nematodes, is sometimes linked to root diseases in some plantations.
Symptoms caused by nematode activity are similar in many cultures. Root functions are reduced, resulting in poor growth, less production, symptoms of deficiency. Root-knot nematodes prevent roots from developing; they reach about 2 mm in diameter and are visible to the naked eye. It is necessary to have soil samples analyzed to confirm the presence of these pests and to determine if their number requires treatment.
Collect samples from a depth of 5 to 30 cm, preferably near the roots of the plants. Collect various samples per hectare and mix them vigorously in a clean container and then in an airtight plastic bag, to prevent it from drying out, and store the samples at a temperature of 10 to 15 ° C. Immediately send samples to a laboratory for analysis.
Arvensis has extensive knowledge of the cultivation of red fruits, based on a long experience together with the numerous field trials carried out with our farmers and in collaboration with universities and research centers, it has allowed the design of a protection program to prevent the attack of nematodes in different producing areas.
Rhizum is powerful root promoter made from vegetal extracts. It contains algae extracts, polysaccharides and organic substances that reactivate the root system by natural synergizings.
RACINETT:
It is a triple-acting innovative biostimulant that, when used by fertigation, activates root growth and enhances its resistance. RACINETT stimulates the plant to form new roots and compensate for damaged roots in a quick time, renewing the beneficial biomass soil, and contributes to improving the defense of the plant once it suffers a nematode attack. The quality and efficacy of RACINETT have been proven on red fruits in different climatic conditions.
CRIPTHUM:
Cripthum is a liquid concentrated suspension of encapsulated humic and fulvic acid particles, fully active and extracted from carefully selected natural leonardite, and whose main distinguishing feature with the rest of humic amendments present in the market is that it has an acidic pH.
XILOTROM:
XILOTROM is a Biostimulant designed from organic substances of botanical origin. It is a solution developed from Arvensis’ extensive experience in R&D applied to agriculture. XILOTROM allows to reinforce the plant’s self-defense in the case of fungal diseases.
Orsilik is a soil and foliar Biostimulant that provides many advantages related to Silicon. The roots easily absorb the silicon which is stored in the epidermis in such a way that the plant consistency and its pest and disease resistance increase.
