Concentrated zinc suspension

GELYFLOW Zn is a concentrated suspension of Zn. By its composition it is able to be applied both foliarly and by fertirrigation, in all types of soils (acids, alkalis, saline-sodium …). GELYFLOW Zn is a highly concentrated fluid zinc formulation that contains 6-8 times more zinc than a typical liquid chelate and 5-6 times larger than liquid fertilizers based on sulfate or nitrate. GELYFLOW Zn is also an ideal formulation for use in the control of zinc deficiencies in seed application.

Zn is perhaps the most deficient microelement in the world. Its deficiency can reduce crop yields by 20% without manifesting symptoms (hidden hunger). It was one of the first micronutrients recognized as essential for plants and the one that most commonly limits yields. Protein synthesis and growth regulation require Zn. The reduction in the production of hormones due to a plant deficient in Zn will cause shortening of internodes and leaves of reduced size. Zn is not very mobile within the plant, so deficiency symptoms appear for the first time in younger leaves. Zn helps the synthesis of substances for plant growth and is essential to promote certain particularly critical metabolic reactions in the early stages of growth. The Zn favors the formation and maturation of pollen, being fundamental for the formation of fruits and seeds. Zn is essential in superoxide dismutase, a key enzyme to detoxify the plant of oxygen free radicals in conditions of excessive light intensity.

Gelyflow Zn is essential to achieve high yields in crops and varieties of high potential. Gelyflow Zn ensures a powerful initial growth of roots, flowers and leaves, avoiding rickets and ensuring proper formation and development of the root and aerial system, mainly of the fruits. Gelyflow Zn increases the tolerance of plants to environmental stressors such as strong light intensity and drought. Gelyflow Zn provides the Zn that plants require to use all the light energy absorbed during the photosynthesis process. In the absence of Zn, an excess of this energy is generated in the leaf cells, generating extremely dangerous oxygen free radicals that damage chlorophyll and lipids, leading to a rapid development of chlorosis and necrosis, especially in days Long and with high brightness. Gelyflow Zn increases resistance to pathogens in the root zone.
It is advisable to provide Gelyflow Zn to ensure continuous availability of Zn in the root zone. Zn deficiencies cause root membranes to become permeable losing carbon-rich compounds (sugars and amino acids). This exudation from the roots to the ground, in addition to undernourishing the plant, feeds the pathogens. For this reason, an adequate contribution of Gelyflow Zn allows to control the exudation of these compounds, and, consequently, the infection of roots by pathogens is drastically reduced.
Gelyflow Zn is especially recommended in sandy soils, with low organic matter content and pH> 7.4, where Zn deficiencies are more frequent. Zinc deficiencies are increasingly widespread in soils due to the use of increasingly productive varieties – also more demanding in fertilization – the use of more pure NPK fertilizers – the contribution of microelements as impurities is suppressed – and the loss of contribution of manure to the field. More than 50% of the soils have low levels of zinc. Gelyflow Zn is especially advisable in crops demanding Zn (corn, sorghum, citrus, etc.) with high yield potential even with average levels of Zn in the soil.

Mixtures and Compatibilities

Avoid mixtures directly with strong acids, as well as with emulsifiable products and alkaline reaction products. Before preparing a final mixture, perform compatibility tests. In case of doubt, consult our Technical Department.
